This policy explains how "Btolat" (operated by Content Ventures — Giza, Egypt) collects, uses, and protects your data when you use the Btolat app on iOS and Android or the btolat.com website. By using the service you agree to this policy.

1. Data We Collect

a. Data you provide

• Account data (optional): when you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your name and email address to create your account. Most app features work without an account.
• Content you create: comments on matches and news, and your match-result predictions.
• Your preferences: followed teams, saved articles, and app settings (theme, font size, time format, timezone, notification preferences). These are stored with your account so they follow you across devices.

b. Data collected automatically

• Push token: a device identifier used to deliver the match and news notifications you enabled, delivered via the Expo Push service.
• Advertising identifier: (IDFA on iOS, only after your App Tracking Transparency consent; Advertising ID on Android) used by the ad network to serve and measure ads.
• Approximate location: inferred from your IP address by the ad network to serve region-appropriate ads. We never collect precise (GPS) location.
• Aggregate usage data: article-read and video-view counters that are not linked to your identity.
• Usage analytics (Firebase / Google Analytics): we use Google's analytics service to understand app usage in aggregate (session counts, most-visited screens, device type, country) via analytics-specific device identifiers — not linked to your personal identity.
• Diagnostics: crash and performance data sent by the Google ads SDK.

2. Advertising

We show ads through Google Ad Manager and Google AdX to fund the free service. Google and its partners may use the advertising identifier to serve personalized ads. See how Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

• On iOS: tracking is used only after your explicit App Tracking Transparency consent; declining keeps the app fully functional with non-personalized ads.
• In the EU/UK: a consent form (Google UMP) lets you accept or refuse personalized ads.
• You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in your device's system settings.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share the minimum necessary with:

• Google (Ad Manager / AdX): advertising identifier, IP address, and ad-interaction data — to serve and measure ads.
• Expo: the push token — solely to deliver notifications.
• Google and Apple (sign-in): per their policies when you choose to sign in with them.
• Authorities where disclosure is required by law.

4. Retention & Deletion

• We keep account data for as long as your account exists.
• You can permanently delete your account inside the app: Settings → Delete Account. This removes your account data (name, email, preferences, saved articles) and unlinks your comments from your identity.
• You may also request deletion, correction, or a copy of your data by emailing us below; we respond within 30 days.

5. Security

All data between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), and internal access is restricted on a need-to-know basis.

6. Children

The service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

You may access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your data, and withdraw consent to personalized ads at any time (via device settings or the consent form). Additional rights may apply under your local law (e.g., GDPR).

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
